Donald Trump has smeared and insulted veterans his entire life, starting with “bone spurs” to avoid service. His longest-serving Chief of Staff, Gold Star father and General John Kelly, described Trump as “the most flawed person I have ever met in my life.” Kelly said publicly that Trump “did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees” and “demonstrated open contempt … for all Gold Star families.” Kelly further said that Trump “rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.”
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has been there for veterans as Attorney General, Senator, and Vice President. She fought anti-veteran fraud and championed expansions of benefits for veterans. Harris understands sacrifice and our oath to the Constitution. She fights with and for us.
